Replaced frt Shift Rod
never put a lot of faith in the plastic bushings that held to front shift rod in place. Was not happy with the feel as well so decided to replace with rod ends.
Removed the ball **** at the bottom of the shift leaver and also at the front cross section anchor point and replaced with bolts/nuts and spacers. Obtained two rod ends the correct size/ one section of pipe (size important) and threaded the inside of the pipe to accept the rod ends. Kind of like a large turnbuckle. Shift has a nice feel now and is a little shorter through as I also raised the slide tube and increase the length of the shift lever.
