First, I blame my dumb *** autocorrecting iPhone for 'webo' instead if Wevo.

Ok, clearly, I've got spring fever with my 964. I'm doing wheel/ exhaust/ interior and suspension upgrades.

So, I'm replacing my motor mounts. I'm upgrading the carrier with the rennline reinforcement. Rennline seems to think their Solid mounts aren't terribly different from Wevo blacks. Any opinion?

I don't track my car, but it's not a daily driver in the least. Only driven occasionally in summer. Will the solids be way too unforgiving for normal street use?

Are there others I should consider?

Thanks,
Tim

Similar quandry...then plumped for Motorsport solid trans and rennline solid engine mounts all justified by the fact that I have the most fun where these would add value, with the other options being a compromise catering for the parts I enjoy least.

Next on the list...shifter.

Wevo Blacks are the way to go. I run these and love them, somewhat forgiving, but super tight set-up and added to shift quality tremendously. The thing I really like is that when the pillows wear out, buy new replacement pillows and away you go, or go with blue pillows for an even firmer set-up. I love mine

Love my WEVO blacks. My car is only driven in the summer, and I dont mind it at all.

There are numerous pages on this forum debating one type over another - I went with RS mounts and am very happy with them.

Lots of opinions and it seems everyone likes what they have, which is good.

I'm going with the Rennline Solid mounts. Will post an update when done.

Looking forward to the install!

Solids for race car but with reinforced engine carrier or it will crack...
WEVO for all else.

After a bit more thought, I'm going Wevo Black. I am doing the carrier reinforcement.

Will update after install. Thx!

I started a thread a little while ago on this, with some very useful responses

I use my car for fast road use, so went with WEVO black. They fitted without issue. Its the first decent weather this weekend, so im going for a nice drive to test them out

I've only gotten from stock to Wevo blacks and I have zero complaints. Plus the folks at Wevo are nice people and my kit was put together there on the spot while chatting cars. Pretty cool! Now only if they had their shifters work with my C4. I'm twiddling my thumbs...

Wevo blue & Rennline weld in. Also solid trans mount ... NOT recommended for street, very loud but amazing shifting.
