H4 headlight upgrades...need help
I am planning upgrading the H5's on my RSA to H4's this weekend (I believe I have all the parts, lenses, bulbs, gaskets, adapter plugs, screws, painted trim rings, etc.
Unfortunately, I have been unsuccessful using the forums search function to find some old posts regarding this procudure (I knew I should have printed them out). Keeps coming back with no matches found for anything I put in.
Is anyone else having the same problem with the new search function?
Could someone else try and run a search in this forum for H4 upgrade info and PM, email or post the links to the threads?
Thanks in advance,

I don't know what you mean when you say "adapter plugs". If you mean the mickey mouse set sold by AJUSA, (and possibly others) I suggest you go to a local junk yard and snip off a couple of headlight plugs, find the proper wires on the EXISTING harness, and wire the new (old) plugs that you got from the junkyard into the harness, and then you will have BOTH the capability of H-5 or H-4 right there. If you want to switch back (say in case of a sale) you can do it in moments. Also, the things sold by aftermarkets as "adapters are, in my opinion rip-offs. I have a set in my stock somewhere that I refused to use because they were so primitive.

I converted my car to H4's 10 years ago. You will be very happy with the results. My advice is to purchase a pair of H4 connectors at your local auto-parts store. They cost less than $10. Then cut off the funky H5 connectors and solder on the new connectors. Use shrink wrap to protect the soldered joints.
