Default Chip Decision - Post Rebuild

Looking for some opinions on this topic:

Just completed rebuild:
1. heads were sent out for new hardware + titanium goodies and were slightly built
2. Crank and CamShafts had some pitting so they were both knife edged and have a fresh surface
3. Exhaust + Headers (aftermarket headers + Custom exhaust with hi-flo cats)
4. RS Clutch + Flywheel

So.... do I opt for the custom steve wong + Dyno expense chip with full map to my build for $1250 approx (including tune and dyno time)
Or - a regular Steve Wong chip for exhaust + clutch $450
Or - a custom chip based on what mods i've done without dyno $725

My driving style is mostly Canyon Carving and occasional track days.

Weiner or Wong - speak with either, let either know what you have and take it from there.

(Weiner first choice of course, because of his efforts supporting all of us on RL)

For what it's worth, I've ordered a stage 2 chip from Steve to get me started before I get a Live remap. Think his stock stuff is pretty well regarded by everyone.

Having gone down the custom route with Wong- I'd recommend it. I needed to based on going to custom JE 3.8 pistons and Dougherty cams. I also opted to do his dual mode chip, which wires in a switch to allow the DME to flip between 91 and 100 octane maps. The good thing about custom with Wong is that once you settle on a price, he'll re-cut chips as many times as it takes to hit target AFR's... Though dyno time isn't free! I'm sure Weiner stuff is top notch too, I just can't speak to his chips as I've only used Wong.

Funny that they're both named Steve! Pretty sure you're talking Wong though...

Steve Wong chip here. Very happy with it! No stalling issues with Lt Wt clutch/flywheel.

I am told the Weiner option is fantastic as well, so with 2 fine options, I doubt you can go wrong

Ha ^^^ Yes SW I had a 3.2 chip and that really sorted out the lazy acceleration. Expecting good things from this one and Steve is a very helpful guy.

Thanks for the input guys, hearing how well the "off the shelf" wong chips work, I wonder how much more value I'm getting with a custom dyno solution, but without knowing how much the resurfaced parts + rebuilt heads have changed things I'm looking at going the dyno route so we can get it right and move-on to the next things that need sorting.
