Enter the 964
With all the recent introductions of new 964 owners I figured I'd throw my hat in as well and share my story.
After almost a decade of considering a used 911 and even longer dreaming about them I've finally pulled the trigger on my "perfect 911". I'm sure others on this list can identify with what I've gone thru. I've been scouring Ebay, Craigslist, Google, Autotrader, Cars.com, Rennlist Classifieds looking for the right model...the internet is a godsend and a curse. Early on I settled on a 964 C2 Coupe, I wanted the most advanced and refined 911 while still retaining that classic look. Lots of folks tried to steer me towards late 80's cars or the 993 as the ultimate expression of the air cooled but those conversations only solidified my choice on a 964.
After looking at a number of C2s and seeing a range of mileage, color combinations I finally settled on a Oak Green/Cashmere 964 Coupe with just a tick over 40K miles. The car and color combination was just understated while still unique. It passed the PPI with great remarks, came with full records, was a former PCA owner and had just about the cleanest interior that I've seen. After a few trips down to look at the car and a very supportive wife, I decided to pull the trigger. Being that I live in NYC and its the Polar Tundra of Winterfell I've got the 964 tucked away for now but cannot wait for some warm/dry days to take the Oak Green out.
In case anyone was wondering about mods, I've got a '90 Miata that my father bought back new in the summer of '89. After many fun years on the street, tt's recently been converted to track duty so with that the plan is pretty much to keep the 964 factory, with the exemption of a set of H&R springs to remove the SUV look and a set of 17' cup wheels which I've got in the garage ready to mount.
Here's a shot of it the day I picked it up last month. Looking forward to growing old with this one!!!
P.S. Included a bonus shot of the Miata incase there are any MX5-964ers on the board

Welcome, love the color.
Rarely see a US model without the rear wiper.

Love the color. Nice call and a great car. Good job staying with the 964. You made the right choice.

Love that car and color. I would of bought that one in heartbeat if I was looking. Just what I would want in a coupe. I imagine the 92' wasn't cheap from Holt Motorsports. That interior looks mint.

Congratulations and welcome aboard As mentioned before, absolutely stunning color combo. One of my favorites. Enjoy, and PM when your ready to do the H&R springs.
