According to my workshop guys in the Netherlands, Waalgarage, they as close to perfect as it gets. They used DP CF parts for quite a few project cars of theirs.
I'll try to remember to get back on this subject after all parts are fitted to the car.

Today I got this phone pic, my car is on its way to the ECU guy. 100km north in Germany.
Looks like pickup will be next weekend! Oh boy, my patience is being tested...

This is an incredible thread. Definitely needs to be retitled. Excellent work and thanks for sharing your build. I've always liked the idea of this option and love what you've done. For me wide body all the way in a gt2 style 964 rsr but studded.

Good point, actually I tried to change the title but only the first post title changed...not the whole thread. Did I do something wrong or is it to late to change?

And yes, love wide body as well...but for now I'll have some fun with this 'wolf in sheep clothes'.

Today they awakened the beast! It started for the first time. Yes! Now it's all about fine tuning the ECU for a couple of days, next weekend I'll go and pick it up for sure.

The car is on its way back, ECU mapping will be done at the main location. They only went to the other place to get the 993 ECU working in my car.
Not many people seem to know how to circumvent the immobiliser on the 993 ECU.

As the car is getting ready for the next phase, I went to pick up the new 18" Fuchs wheels and brought them over to the powder coating company.
The wheels are going to be all black, matt. Which is not really matt as when spray painted, it does have a slight shine when I saw the samples. First I was thinking semi gloss black but this was still way to shiny.
These are going to look great in the rear with 285 semi slicks!

Okay, I am starting to feel a little bit lonely without any comments...is anybody actually interested in the progress? I know at least a couple of fellows are...
Hi,

Keep the posts coming, I'm definitely interested

This project really is something special.

Nice choice of wheels too Mine are going on this weekend (18" with silver petal) what size spacers are you using on the rear?

Cheers,
Paul

I love these conversions & TT transplants into narrow body cars - real sleeper look, higher top speed & better aerodynamics than a WB - like a Ruf Yellowbird homage!

I think the spacer is 15mm.

This kind of work never goes to schedule. It's really frustrating, but at least you seem to have good communication from them.
If all works well when she's finally delivered, then the extra wait is well worth it.

Very true, thanks. Ferdinand is very quick in his communication and doesn't make empty promises. The work looks top notch!
