Still may get to Autofarm though...

Just in case you thought we were all a bit sad for worrying about the colour of our rear lights, check this thread out:

All in good humour, of course!

In case anyone's interested, I've tried the light tinting spray idea - as a last resort before spladhing out on new lights. The results aren't fantastic but I definitely a good £10 worth. I used the red stuff and it does cover up the pinkness.
Be careful though, you need to make sure it goes on evenly or it looks patchy and don't put too much on. First attempt I put way too much on and the light output was too dim afterwards (even though the lamps looked cool) and I ended up removing it and starting all over again.
I have before and after pics but don't know how to post them......
Cheers

To keep moisture out of the pink lights, try vaseline on the edges....it used to work on my 964....

Red tint used on tail lights
I bought a set of repainted tail lights off E-bay for $50. Looks good from 6 feet any closer and it looks bad. Also, blocks out too much light. The lights barely glow. Don't take it to a high pressure car wash or the paint starts to peel. They just painted the outside no reason to take the light apart.
All in all, worth the $50 over the PINK lights. Ya Know, Ya think they could make the replacement lights with plastic that doesn't turn PINK. No other series has PINK lights.

I think this picture may help. You can guess which piece is new:
Here's another pic of the right:
And, one of the left, which illustrates the pink around the edge look:
That said....unless you get closer, the right, left and center pieces look similar at a casual glance. That is, I've seen much worse--my car has spent its home life in a garage:

Hey guys just got a idea that may help solve all our problems. I have a few friends which have used red nail polish to solve the fade that all red tail lights go through with age, Do any of you guys think this would work on our 964's?
I suppose that in theory nail polish is quite adhesive to plastic (ie plastic nails etc) and it is also quite transparent, if you don't use too may coats of it that is.
So do you guys think this may work? Id like some input before I go rushing off to the nearest chemist to buy red nail polish!
