Default Suspension question

Hi guys,

I'm looking to replace the suspension on my 1991 C4. There's a fellow selling shocks and springs that were on his 94 C2. Will they work fine on my car?

Tried looking for the answer, but couldn't get a definitive one.

Thank you!

Javier

Yes; rear mount change was mid 1990.

Okay, great! Thanks. So the AWD makes no difference either? I think I'm just confusing the rear mount change... for some reason I thought C4s were different.

I thought they were the same but as an example I checked the Tire Rack listings for the KW V3 1990 C2 vs. C4 and there are different part numbers. You'd better look deeper.

Go by the mounting at the top. They are different.

The question now is "Are the C2/C4 rear setups different in some meaningful way."

I didn't think so, but...

I believe they are the same, i.e c2/c4 the same the difference was early or late
I have a feb 90 C4 and have the latter rear shocks, succesfully fitting bilstiens (same ones listed as c2/c4 at the time)

Ok so mine are red. I'm concerned about front and rear. I have a 91 c4 and a fellow is selling his shocks and springs off a 94 c2. Will they fit? I'm more confused now.

What I think you should do is look at all of the current suspension vendors and determine if, in general, the C2/C4 rear part numbers are the same or different for a 1992 vehicle. You definitely have the later mounts, so you need a post-change rear setup, the only question remaining is whether the rear setups for a C2 and C4 are different.

Look at the part numbers for the various setups.
