Just noticed : "Speedster version of the 964 debuted in 1989". Hahaha
Seriously. Was this written and researched by a hack without a computer or concept of Google? Excellence needs to send this fraud to a "Porsche for Dummies" class before they ever let him put pen to paper ever again.
Total 911 is offering its US readers a special deal of $78 for 13 issues. I have no affiliation with Total 911 but consider it far superior to the weak offerings here in the States.

Just got home from a week-long business trip and saw the issue on my desk... Glad I came to Rennlist first! Damn shame...
I always read Total911 at B&N. Thanks for the heads-up! I'm going to get the subscription...

As a 964'r myself I am going to do a bit of self analysis.
Prior to a couple of years ago I was always quick to rebut anyone or any article that was critical of the 964.
And to top it off, having a early version C4 there was even criticism from other 964'r about the complex and expensive 4 wheel drive system and the lack of a head gasket etc.
Now I am a lot more retrospective about my car.
I don't feel the need to defend it to anyone.
To me it is the perfect look and I can't see a time when I would want to sell her.
So if the resale price is as the article states ... $10,000 I don't really care if I am not looking to sell.
In fact I probably get approached at least three or four times a year with someone asking me if I want to sell my car.
I am perfectly happy with my unwanted Porsche step child.

We spoke earlier this Summer about an 89 Speedster I purchased---and then un purchased when my paint/body guy found all the issues with the car.
Anyway, the number to get the deal on Total 911 is:
1-800-428-3003. Code is IMST134Q
I am calling on Monday to subscribe.

Thanks Mike. I just ordered it online and entered the code in the promotional code box. Great deal at $78 US or Canadian for 13 issues. Can't wait to get my first issue.
