Default Engine tray removal 964

I pulled off the engine tray/cover on my car yesterday. Every Porsche mechanic that I've talked to so far, has recommended removing it, so the car would run cooler, be easier to detect oil leaks, less chance of fire, etc...

One mechanic called the tray an "easy-bake oven."

What do you guys think?

First mod, you are well on your way.

I think that was the first thing I did to mine too.

I run it in the winter and remove it in the spring; install w/ snow tires.
