They've had this one for sale for the longest time, they keep reposting it on CL.

Wonder what's wrong with it. Looks clean in the pics.

Wow, that looks really nice in the pics! There must be something up with it. Price is certainly right.

I did look at it briefly last weekend. It was cold and raining but it looked pretty clean. A fellow Rennlister form Cali asked me to take a closer look at it for him. I plan on doing that this Saturday and will update anyone that may be interested. I am hoping to look at the history if any. Anything I should look at specificity to an 89 model? Mainly going to look at the cosmetics, paint condition, mods and oil leaks. BTW I have no interest in this car just happen to live nearby.

I actually looked at this today, I'm looking for a 911, which brought me there, and then later to this forum. It was interesting to see this very car here.

So, interior is in amazing shape, exterior I would say decent at best. Porsche emblem is broken off the hood, there are like two silver circles where it was connected. There are other little imperfections but nothing major for a 25 year old car.

I was told by the person working there that it has a small oil leak. It also belongs to the owner of the dealership, so he wouldn't let me drive it since the owner wasn't there. I did start it up though. After revving the rpms dropped a bit low then revved up again. Not sure if this is a vacuum issue or if it's common or not, still new to 911s. I'm also 99% sure it's been lowered, I didn't ask but it was LOW. I didn't get too much into it since the owner wasn't there, if you really want to look into it you should call and try to see if the owner is there.

May not be a bad deal, but I think I'm going to hold out for a 2s

I ran a quick Vin check on www.nicb.org and it came up with this:
"VIN: WP0AB0961KS450737 has been identified as a vehicle listed in the VINCheckSM Salvage Records.

Date of loss: 2002-04-05
Cause of loss: Collision"

Just an FYI.

At what price does a salvage title not matter? (Assuming the car is perfectly fine now)

I was interested as well, but the owner mentioned that it was not perfectly straight.

Salvage title is worth 50% even if the car is 100% repaired. Jmo
