I would like to ask. How much do KW kits lower the car by , max and min. Realistic differences between V1 and V3 is it worth the extra money? How much does this improve the handling greatly and are people happy with these setups? Cheers in advance

I chose V1's simply because I have installed variable dampers on previous cars and never altered them once set up. The V1 is an optimised V3, same build, same spring rates but no adjustment. I am very happy with the dampers but would add a good geo setup is a must once they are installed.
I run RS ride height + 5mm IIRC about 35mm less than normal, although the dampers can go lower it is not recommended.

cool cheers, certainly something to think about, would i ever alter them have had them on prev cars and not done. so a rs is 40mm lower then, do you get the top mounts with the kit if so are they adjustable

The kit comes with rear monoball mounts, I installed standard new front mounts. The only reason to install adjustable mounts is if you need big camber which I do not.

I put on V3s with the idea that I could run RS ride-height plus 10mm. Closest I could come was more like RS -20.
It's not bad, but even on 16" tires in my environment I'd like more ride height, more travel, and less rate.
ETA: Roads here are c rap.

I stuck V3's on mine as whilst I'm not interested in playing with the setup right now I thought the extra adjustability may be useful in the future for either myself of a possible future owner since they'll probably be on the car for 10+ years.

I had V3s on my wife's TT and once they got dialed in I never played with them. I was so happy KW started making V1's for the 964, they are set up just right for a street car.
On a side note, I think I got the first set of 964 v1s made:-)

I yearn for V1s if that means anything, good spring rates and good dampening for the street and occasional track days. Or you can buy my Bilstein and Eibach combo and il get the V1

Hey Alex,
Are you going to the Bear Mountain drive in October? I may be coming down from Simsbury. It would be great to get some back to back drives to compare my V1s with your setup.
