Default Steering wheel upgrade

Dear all,
Since the supplier of my very expensive steering wheel has left me stranded I need some assistance. Im upgrading to a 3 spoke wheel. I have tried to figure out how this is to be put on but like to know if You guys are ahead of me on this. Here are the parts, anyone recognize these?

It looks like you have a 996 steering wheel and it looks like it can be fitted https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...n-a-964-a.html

The supplier says, "have to swap the horn ring and canceller from the old wheel but apart from that it's a direct replacement" I dont know. The horn contact was from another thread here. It is a Wheel that should fit straight on according to the supplier. At that cost it really should.......

I have figured out bits and pieces from this but its not spot on change just the wheel

LPMM : I Think I will need that part The org Little pin that hits the horn is the small blue pin/stift. That does not fit the new Wheel, Cables can be swapped but not the pin...

The problem is that most of us who have replaced our wheels have gone with non airbag aftermarket ones, so they install much differently. Thats when you need the horn contact. The part with the yellow sticker, the clock spring i believe, is not used when going that route, but i think it will be in your case. Plugging your connectors into that should make your horn work.

Pay careful attention to the orientation of the little arrows on the new clock spring and make sure they are correct

Unplug the old one and plug in the new one , then install it, the brown wires on the front with the connectors go to the horn contacts and the yellow plug to the air bag

Make sure you have disconnected the battery for at least 20 minutes before messing with this stuff and dont move the key in the ignition switch or you risk setting off the air bag light

I did this swap and its all plug and play

Perfect, so the backside is just plug and play. Im really not comfortable with airbag mech

Thanks, I saw the text on it regarding the arrows. Have not investigated 100 yet but I will be real careful. Thanks!!!

Just want You guys an option when You choose supplier for parts... I bought this wheel a year ago. After spending a lot of money and time on this, myself and one of Swedens best independent mech,s it up for sale. It does not fit a 964 without changing a LOT of the complete steering. After the guys sent a part they argued would work its dead silent, also the wheel is gone from there website
I sent this mail to them to let them have a chance to explain them self. Still its dead silent.

Sirs,

Feedback on Your Products, You offer and Your support. I bought a Porsche OEM 993/996 spoke airbag steering wheel for my 964 a litle over year ago. The wheel is still not yet in place. The wheel does not fit then 964, not even with the parts You have sent after I have been on Your support several times. Not myself, OPC or the best independent in Sweden can get it to fit as it is. We believe to get it to work there is a need to replace the 964 steering column with a one from a 993 and some more parts. This is IT DOES NOT FIT a 964, its rebuilding part of the car to make it fit. Its fits bolt on a 996. So I suggest You remove it from You website to avoid more clients of Your spending aprox, 1000 £ upon the price for the wheel and still no result… If You have any questions or feedback, don’t hesitate to contact me on this email or phone +xxxxxxxx

The name of the company is porscheshop.co.uk.
Give Your Money to someone else.

Cheers all.

Hi Henrik, I maybe able to help but will need to go back and see how I got it installed, because I had a lot of issues initially, even having to buy a replacement horn connector because I destroyed the first one. If you are still going down that road, let me know and I will pull the airbag.
