I just replaced all this stuff this AM. That metal tab should point straight out, allowing the toothed crescent gear to trip the switch at the end of it downward travel.
No pics at the moment. But will post when I can, prolly tomorrow.
Beware, you can destroy you're crescent gear if the limit switches fail, so unplug the drive motor till you get this sorted.
Tip # 2: When u order a new gear, thereis a plastic bushing required that does not come w the gear. You'll need to get that or carefully drive out the original bushing w a small drift, I used a 7 or 8 mm socket, was aperfect fit.
