Default My new RH Speedline Split Rims - Pics!

Got my new wheels fitted. Must say I likey very much!

Got a set of Michelin Pilot Spots fitted for £680 with £100 cash back! 265 rears and 225 fronts. I was worried what the car would drive like as have read on here people saying the car feels much better on 17's. Well, I only drove down the road a bit but the car feels better to me on 18's...

I weighed the RH wheels to see how they compared to my other wheels, genuine (i.e. not replica) Cup 1's 9" rears and 7" fronts. They were exactly the same! Fronts were 20.2kg and rear 22.8kg. Both wheels have Michelin Pilot Sports, both nearly new or new. Quite amazed by this. I checked my scales and measured twice, same result.

What tyre pressures are recommended?

Car is not on an even surface so ride heights are a little off. On a flat surface it sits great with no spacers needed.

Yes, will have to see how it goes on a bumpy road with passengers....

The splitter is the Cult Werk RS 3.8 style from the group buy. Great item!

Looks great Stan. I too was pleasantly surprised with the ride on 18s, I run 36psi and it seems to be right.

Looks so good!! I am a bit scared to ask, have you considered black headlight rings?

Looks perfect Stan, going up to 18" gives it a perfect 'attitude'

Also agree with SuperUser about black headlight rings

Wow. Looking fantastic!

36psi all round. I found swapping to 18s better also - less tyre wobble in turns.

I personally am not a fan of Fuchs on our cars. What I love is that because your wheels are black and silver lipped they have the Fuch look whilst still being a 964 speed line. It's a wonderful subtle homage to the Fuch wheels whilst still looking 90s period correct.

In most instance I think black wheels look best on gred, cobalt, speed yellow.

I think you're spot on Frank. The dish on the wheels still works with the 964's lines and the black centre accentuates it. The wheels could ideally do with a refurb, which I may do over winter, was thinking of changing to silver centres, but now I'm not sure!

Either way, I can't wait to get my big red brake calipers and cross drilled discs fitted! Was hoping to have it done but I changed my mind on my calipers. I bought 993 calipers all round from Thomas at Porsche Calipers but have changed the fronts to 993tt calipers. I'm binning the 993 uprights conversion for now. I already had some adapter brackets so I'll use those for now and maybe do it next year....

I think that in terms of colour coding it should almost always be a vibrant colour with a neutral colour.

That's why I think black and red work so traditionally well. Kiwi Sean has got it sooo spot on also.

I like the idea posted above of black light bezels on your car.

One thing I've flirted about would be a red detail stripe on the front wings in the same style as what James Dean had on lil'bastard his 550...

If you're going to do black bezels, I would suggest using vinyl. That way you can change back as you mood changes.
