America Roadster emblem script
Question for you America Roadster guys here on the 964 forum. I've been looking at a couple America Roadsters as I've been thinking of adding a 964 to my stable.
The emblem script on the engine lids seems to be highly variable. I've looked at about half a dozen cars at this point all of which I believe are genuine... most say "Roadster" but I've seen one that was "America" and 1-2 that say "America Roadster".
Any thoughts here? Was the badging really this variable? I know the ROW C2 widebody cabs didn't have any special script.
Thanks,
Lee

I don't believe any of the cars were produced at the factory with the 'Roadster' emblem. Rather, it was added Stateside by the dealers, as the emblem carried a Porsche Cars North America part number (PNA-559-037-01). That explains the variability.
The 'America' emblem was definitely not standard and any that you see were likely added by owners, who cannibalized an RS America emblem.

If I recall correctly, when I purchased my Roadster new from dealer, it did not have any emblem attached on the rear deck. It was an option to put one on and the correct emblem for USA turbo-look cab would be simply "Roadster".

Norbert ,
I am assuming you did not include the turbo having the same brake system because you are discussing N/A cars only?
Also any idea if the 4 1994 AR's were M718 coded since PCNA does not mention their existence?
Besides, 964 Turbo Look convertible and Carrera RS are the only rear-done models with suction engine which was equipped with the high-pressure hydraulics system for the brake system which was used otherwise for the 4-wheel vehicles only (primarily to the barrier price increase etc.).
