Default Some Porsche **** from Goodwood Festival of Speed

Porsche sent me some free tickets to the preview day of this year's Festival of Speed, so I thought it would be rude not to share some of the Porsche content with you all...

Thanks for sharing. I'll be there Sunday - can't wait. Traffic can be a pig for getting in though!

I usually go on the Sunday, but was put off by just how busy it was last year. The car park and access were a nightmare and you couldn't really get that close to the cars in the paddock. It's got really popular of late and I am less tolerant of crowds these days (must be getting old). I was going to have a break this year for that reason, until Porsche offered me tickets for yesterday. I was pleasantly impressed by how good it was, the only difference to the main event days was the lack of racing action (which is arguably the best bit, I know). That said, there were still road cars roaring up the hill, you could get up close in the paddocks etc. and still got to hear the F1 cars firing up.

Enjoy Masher, it was really cool yesterday and that was without the main action, so the weekend can only be better

Nice pics Paul, I was there yesterday too

The GT2 is WTDooms I believe, just how many fabulous cars can one man have!

They had moved the 935 when I saw it, to the left of the Martini display next to the Brabham

Seeing the 935/78, Moby Dick, was the highlight for me. 1st time Ive seen it since its debut at Silverstone in 1978!

You're showing your age a bit there Gary

It's a shame I didn't know you were going mate, we could've met up to say hi.

I don't know how I missed this pic out, but just for you sir... what a car!!!!

Great pics! The 935/77 in the first pic is my favorite of all the 935 variants.
And that's Nick Mason's (Pink Floyd) 250 GTO.

I know, well I am old!

It is barring 917's my favourite race car of all time, despite its relatively minor role in Porsche history

Shame they showed it with those wheels and not the correct period ones though (sad pedant hat on)

I have been in awe of this event from its inception. Never been able to attend though. Your pictures are much appreciated.

Correct! If you buy Evo this month (September #186) the answer is "at least one more..."
