Default 964 tire sizes for 17 inch Cup 1's

Inquired on the Wheel/Tire forum and no response. Sorry for the redundancy.

Running 7 x 17 front 225/45 9 x 17 rear 255/40 (these are stock 17 size)

Anyone running 235/40 on the front with either 255/40 or 265/40 with no rubbing or ABS issues?

Thanks,

MWN

235 is too much tire for the 7" width.

Thanks for the information. Just for what I was looking. Looks like I will stick with the Nittos...love 'em anyway so why change.

Thanks again for the help.

Are you sure you have 9" rear? If I am not mistaken stock was 7" front, 8" rear. On that set-up I ran 225 front, 255 rear. However, I have done like a lot do with fuchs... Put 9" 965 turbo wheels in the rear and moved my 8" rear to the front. Now I can fit 245 front and 275 rear, using a small 6mm spacer in the rear. The stock wheels are a lot heavier than aftermarket options though....
