Default Universal Catalytic Converter

Has anyone tried custom fitting a "universal" cat from Magnaflow, B&B etc?

Seems like a slightly more economical route than OE or sport cat. I've snapped off my O2 sensor at the bung hole and I'm looking at my options. I'd run a cat bypass but we have wonky mandatoy emissions testing in these parts.

Cheers,

That is a cool idea, I have a Fabspeed Cat, it is nice but a bit costly.
