Excuse the daft question - which Premier Inn?

East Midlands airport mate. It's only a 10 minute drive from the track.

I shall pop over to the Premier for a quick drink.....once again Boxsey this is gonna be a great event.

My car is now straight, and a rolling chassis again.......gradually coming back together.....should be ready in time!

I'll be the one going round with hazard lights flashing and a big "KEEP CLEAR" sign in the windows!!!!!

Great news. How's it all going? Any pics? What was the damage in the end? Glad to hear The Hornet is getting her sting back!

Run into a fiw niggles with the modified 944 turbo (it's not modified enough!) so can't be certain which car I'll be in yet.

We don't mind if the 964 makes an appearance instead.

BTW for those still thinking about booking the trackday, there's not many spaces left.

Me neither! I'm extremely lucky to have the options.

It always pays to have a backup, but I hope you can bring the 944t as I was hopoing for a ride in it!

I'll pull all the stops out just for you

I trust I get to add ballast to the Hornet in return...? Trust the repairs have proved relatively straightforward and I assume you've found yourself helpless to resist the temptation to upgrade a few bits and pieces along the way

Nice one

But of course!

Nope, I'll maybe add to the Spa thread once I've got it back (Colin has been taking pics for me), but suffice to say it was bent front and rear, but not too badly, and needed straightening. A few other bits needed work, like the 'frunk', scuttle, etc as they got 'punched' sideways by the wing and bonnet being moved laterally.

and I assume you've found yourself helpless to resist the temptation to upgrade a few bits and pieces along the way
Oh you know me too well !

I tried not to go too mad, the bank manager hates me enough as it is!

I have booked into the airport hotel. So see you blokes Sat for a beer.

For your amusement on a Monday morning. I did somehow manage to book the Sunday night instead of Sat on their "non refundable rate"!!!!!!!! Doh!.......so now I have paid over £100 to stay at the P Inn in East Midlands for one night!!!! ........oh yeah!!! I did get their customer service number to give them a bollocking about not just changing the date for me cos I am an idiot but I guess at the end of the day I thought it better to give myself an uppercut for being a nuffy. Though I may just call them to give them a spray anyway as it will make me feel better haha

I've done worse, I booked the wrong month for the hotel at Silverstone, at the non refundable rate!

I only realised when I got the txt message reminding me the day before!

Clearly I am infallible so, I reasoned, there must have been something wrong with their website so I gave them 45mins of full on righteous indignation until they said they'd refund me.

Hopefully the Silver Surfer will be along. Not yet ready to track but back in the shop to have a few items fitted and preventative maintenance. As I am away most of this month I've told them I want it back the last week in July. Lets hope this doesn't follow the same pattern as the Spa fiasco.

BTW given your attempts at booking a room I might pack a tent.
