Default Rear seat delete question

Hello all,

Question about a rear seat delete. I have a 964 RSD that I took in exchange for another part. There is a part number on the lower bracket: 964 555 463 00.

Is there a difference between RS America, Convertible or Speedster RSD's or all they all the same?

Thanks!

Default There are differences.

For convertibles, there are locking doors. Some had retainment bars on the top of each half. Some have tie-down brackets for securing objects on the deck. Some didn't. For some cars, whether convertible or coupe, the top boards are shaped slightly differently to fit with the options. However, I heard you can make them work. I believe most of the structural differences are between the 993RSD and 964RSD. However, I have heard you can interchange with work. BUT, I am not for positive.

The only reason I know this, is that I would love to put one in my car, have watched the ads on e-bay, rennlist, pelican's etc., but haven't found one in black for a coupe (w/o locking doors), nor for the money I am willing to pay

that one looks nice. My RSD has the large retainment bars that really should be repainted/powder coated.

It will be for sale eventually......Probably a European sale only because shipping to the US is so expensive.
