Default What is this ?

I had a look on pet however couldnt see any reference to this, when I removed the windscreen and dash the wire you see lying over the scuttle was up the inside of the seal and is attached to the beige coloured box situated in the middle hole where the dash top is removed (hope that makes sense)

so what is the box and wire for ?

It looks like a Lo-Jack antenna. Does it trace back to a silver box?

Right had another look at these boxes tonight the long wire that was inside the windscreen seal comes back to the bigger beige box then there is a couple of wires feeds over to the grey box with the black tape round it there is then a L-E feed that has been spliced in to the glove compartment light no sign of any outputs going anywhere so the only thing I can think this is is a old tracker system possibly? any other suggestions
