Default RS Engine Mounts and Bilstein HDs

Like many, I'm planning a few upgrades, including RS engine mounts and Bilstein HDs to match up to my H&R Greens and was wondering where is the best place to source these from (UK)?

Cheers

Paul

Type 911/ Mathew gets my vote - knowledgeable, usually has stock and will give you accurate delivery etas.

A lot less can be said for,
Porscheshop & Design 911...

For the RS mounts, try your Porsche dealer first. No local dealer, call Porsche Exeter; they will post items to you, normally free shipping, and if you ask, will give a 10% discount. 01392 822841 .

I'm planning exactly the same, and found the package for B6's cheapest at Design911, along with the springs from there too. (Although you have springs already) RS mounts, well, Type911 do a complete package that includes all the hardware too, which is cheaper from them.
However, I emailed Gert at Carnewal.com this morning! And found even with delivery and exchange rates to Euros, I can get the suspension package from him, about £150 cheaper than anywhere in the UK.
He also sells the RS mounts - and he has confirmed that it includes all the necessary hardware ( just exactly what that is, I'm not sure - that will be in my next email... Wanted to leave it a while so that I didn't keep asking him questions!)

So it's defiantly somewhere to look I think.... With all the shopping around and buying the items (including new suspension mounts and brake disks) the total comes to about £200 cheaper than just dealing with either type 911 or design 911.

He answers all questions very smartly... If you choose to buy from him, let me know, maybe he will do some sort of deal if we buy together?

Just my 2p's worth!
James.

The extra-hardware you need, are two long bolts and nuts, plus four thick washers, four thin washers and four cupped washers, and four bolts to secure the mounts to the body.

I got the GBP255 package from Type 911 too.

James, I will certainly let you know if I go with Carnewal. I'm just waiting for my Indy to come back to me with a price from his supplier.

Seeing as there is a lot of posts on here fairly quickly... Can I hi-jack the thread a little too?!
Still on topic though!
When replacing the struts, do people replace the hardware on them too (bolts that attach the lower strut to the front arm, or with the rear strut, the large M14 bolt that hold it onto the rear arm? I only ask as some say yes, others don't mention it.
I'm struggling to find the M14 bolts from Type/Design911, as the PET code comes up a blank when I put it in! Any ideas?

PaulW_964 - let me know how you get on!

Thanks guys.
James.

Probably don't need to replace them, but if they're inexpensive, why not?

Why not? 'Cos I can't find anyone who will sell me some! :-)
Not in the uk anyway!

I'll try and reuse then!

+1 on Matthew at Type 911. I called him and he managed to beat the Carnewal price on the Bilsteins. Would encourage you to call him, mention me, I only just got the shocks so he will remember.

The M14 bolt is 99907411108 M14x1.5x120 probably quite high tensile though as they are £15.50 each from Porsche!

Fronts are 90038702401 M12x1.25x90 and £7.30 each
