My Diehard International 33348 died and I am trying to find a battery that is the same height. I went to Advance Auto and Autozone and the only ones they have that fit are taller by about a 1/2" than the Die hard. Is this a problem since the trunk carpeting sits on the top of the battery? I do haul stuff in the frunk frequently.

I bought a Duralast Gold and I want to know if I should take it back and look for a battery that is the same height as the old one.

I have Duralast and it is fine. I have the 48-DL.

The only problem that I had with the battery is the lack of a port to connect the vent tubing to outside the frunk.

Hi DWS964. There is actually a vent but it isn't apparent like the Diehard one was. There are 2 round hole vents on each side and there is a vent plug attached to the terminal cover that allows you to plug one of the holes and vent the other. With some small modification I should be able to get ti vented fine.

The model battery I got was the H6-DLG.

The 48-DL has the vent kit included (center vent on top between posts). See the Autozone website for photo.

I stand corrected. Yes, the Autozone battery has the vent kit - I installed one of these in my 92 a few years ago. But I recently replaced it with an equivalent one from Advance Auto parts and didn't realize until it sat at my shop for a long time that it does not have the vent kit.

I have had a Autozone battery in mine for 6+ years and its still going strong.
