$1800 for a set of reps from FVD still seems a bit steep.

I had the Borbet replicas, which were wider than OEM. I don't remember the front dimensions off hand, but the rears were a 17x9

The flaw with those was that the fronts weighed 25lbs and the rears 30lbs.

FVD cups look identical to MM, so maybe they meant MM replicas (down to the size and offset). OEM replicas they are not.

To me, even the OEM cup 1's are on the heavy side. I recently picked up a 7" front cup 1 and a 7" front 996 10 spoke (OEM BBS Porsche wheel), the difference was night and day. Going to put the cup 1's on soon, mostly due to aesthetics. Getting ready for Rennsport Reunion!

Just got weights from FVD:

7.5 x 17 are 24 lbs.
9x17 are 26 lbs.

Seems inline with the OEM weights I'm seeing posted online. Can anyone confirm this?

OE cup 1 7 x 55 = 9.3 kg
OE cup 1 7.5 x 65 = 10.6 kg
OE cup 1 9 x 55 = 11.8 kg

RS magnesium 7.5 x 55 = 8.5 kg
RS magnesium 9 x 55 = 9.3 kg

BTW

Mille Miglia Cup 1 Replica 7.5 = 11.3kg. & 9 = 12.7 kg

I'd be surprised if the FVD items weigh in differently.....

When I asked for the weights back in July '14, I got the following:

"WCD 751 752: 29.92 lbs, WCD 901 747: 34.10 lbs"

I didn't follow up this email, but that has to be shipping weight, eh?

I assume GBX got the correct weights which doesn't seem too bad if they are on par with OE.

You do have the design 92, which looks-- I suppose-- pretty close to a cup1!
