Default Gear stick gator removeal

Hi guys,

I need to remove the centre console but can't see how to detach the gear stick leather gator. How is it detached? I was hoping the gear stick **** and and gator would just pull off once all the centre console fixings were removed but that doesn't appear to be the case.

Thanks

Rob

The gearknob will come off in 15 seconds, no tools needed, no need to touch the centre consul

(I'm stripping all the interior so that it can be recovered)

Pull and wiggle. It's press fit onto a square shape end of the shaft (won't turn). If it is really tight try warming with a hair dryer and/or using a pair of large screwdrivers and two hands to pull up from under the ****.

Yes, just a tight fitting rubber ****, gumshield may be a wise purchase!
