Default Radio Wiring - Advice Request

I removed the buried aerial (from last week's post) and pulled the head unit...and have a few questions before re-assembly. The questions are on this schematic and the accompanying photo shows the wires I'm asking about...thanks for your thoughts. I probably should have worded the fuse question to read "...is meant to protect?"

I have the full electrical manual on pdf.. it is too large to upload, however if you send me your email I can send it to you. the wiring diagram is on page 20.

Just had a quick scan of the diagram and there isn't a yellow wire listed?

So my guess to your questions would be: -

1. The diagram shows a power supply to the antenna booster - so yes pretty sure that would be it.

2. Yes, terminate a new plug, much easier.

3. Could be for a phone system? another amp? alarm?..this isn't on the diagram?

Hope this helps you out?

Good luck

The small wire which comes out together with the antenna is the power supply to the antenna booster.

Thanks for the thoughts, guys...helped me forge ahead without being overly concerned I might be trashing something incedibly important. As it turned out, the extra fuse was part of the wiring for a no-longer-present CD Changer so it is now gone. A local audio shop couldn't guarantee quality of service from a re-terminated antenna cable...but recommended a very inexpensive marine-use antenna which takes-up very little space and works well. Since the in-window antenna is not used any longer the booster is now discoonected...much cleaner behind the dash. I also found a small power amp which is very nearly the same dimensions as the original Blaupunkt BQA80...so eventually I'll move it from the frunk to under the passenger seat.
