For those with a Heigo rear roll bar, is it silent or do you get annoying rattles creaks and groans from it? I only ask because the dog guard in my daily runner drives me nuts of I have dropped the rear seats and not loosened it all off and retightened. I suspect all is OK if well fitted but thought I'd ask. Cheers.

Great to hear. Getting Pole position seats fitted in the next couple of weeks with std road belts. Will decide on harness bar or heigo rear cage once I have driven in the new seats. Big price difference but working for a company that has a safety consultancy arm to the business makes you increasingly aware of risks. Maybe I am just getting old and cautious! Thanks for all the info.

Agreed. I had read other threads when researching the cage before I bought the car (from wtdoom, natch ) which criticised Heigo's relaxed attitude to order fulfilment timekeeping (never quality...) but all the same, this is nice.

Sorry Never came back to this. I recall reading about the pro's and con's of an uncaged car with race seat + harness vs. a caged car. It went along the lines of if your restraint for the roof is strong, then keep yourself strapped into the seat, however, if the roof is weak then a 3point harness will ensure that if the roof does collapse there is more likely somewhere for you to go.
I dont recall the details or the outcome, as my car has a factory cage. I did look for the thread, but couldnt find it.
To add a little, I swapped to new belts from caged 964 and put a buckle release system in from schroth. Always gets through MOT, never any issue. Whilst it may not be 100% correct, I cant find anyone who actually knows or cares about the details. I always find the clip / twist release easier to use.
