Help please with something odd!
This is a bit of a long story, but here goes-when I drive my 93 rsa out of the garage, I've been hearing some noises from the back-it sounds like tire rub (I changed the springs)-yesterday, I wanted to get a clearer sense of the noise, so I started the car, and then shut off the engine as I coasted down, so I could hear better-
Now here's the odd part-when I tried to restart the car, it would barely turn over, and wouldn't start at all! I pushed it into a vacant spot, came back ten minutes later, and everything was fine-car started right up....
So why wouldn't it start when I turned the engine off as I was rolling? Is it some kind of theft deterrent thing? Anyone?

dme-relay? it sounds like coincidence or misjudged tirerub. Would start with replacing the dme-relay. If you haven't changed it in a few years (looks like the case reading your diagnosis), this is probably the cause of your car not starting.
Good luck!

When you said that it wouldn't start, was the starter cranking at normal speed and the engine wasn't starting or was the starter turning too slowing to start the engine? If the starter is turning normal speed, then I would change the DME relay. If the starter is turning too slow, then I would suspect you may need a new starter soon.

the whole thing sounded VERY sluggish...basically it turned over a few times, and then wouldn't crank again...all lights, etc were working fine...so maybe it's the starter motor...

Like others have stated most likely a coincidence between the noise and the failure to start. I'd check the battery first then once you rule that out the DME relay. Its been getting to the high 20's at night here in MD so I assume its colder up in NY and if your battery is old it may have just quit.
