Is the overflow tube the cloth covered on right at the top of reservoir towards front bumper? If reverse bleeding from slave nipple backwards ie pressure and fluid fed into slave nipple ... Does this still apply, as reservoir cap is off ... Apologies if that's a very dumb q :0 ... Thread title seemed so inviting tho

Also how can you pump the clutch too far - you often hit the floor with it when changing quickly ie not outside normal motion is it?

YES
You don't want to bleed from the slave as this is a reverse flow for all the internal seals.

Don't know what you mean here.

I was referring to the brake M/C in terms of 'too far'.... Clutch should be fine all the way through it's natural travel.
