Not looking forward to this bit - picking car up this afternoon following a clutch job. Will take clothes peg for nose!

I got new RS clutch about 2 years ago. From 911design, as original.

This summer clutch started slipping and of coarse I got smell too.

I checked flywheel and pressure plate, both was not straight.

You see here cone by pressure plate, it is about 1 mm:

Here are flywheel and pressure plate, yellow inside part has no normal contact:

And both after postprocessing:

Out of interest would the design 911 clutch be the exact same kit u get from porsche just in original manufacturers box and without the pork markup or inferior relative to Oem product?

my new clutch hasn't made any smells ... yet, maybe I'm not trying hard enough

@bigunit - afaik sachs supplies them to porsche, so as along as design 911 supply the sachs part its as good (or bad) as genuine porsche.

I wonder if your heater bypass valves may be sticking? If they're stuck open this might provide a quick route from clutch to cabin. Do you get the "clunk" of the valve flaps bouncing when you shut the doors?
