Default Rennline Pedals

Hi Gents,

Did a little search on these. But I can't seem to find out whether they work on a RHD 964 with a 993 pedal box? And whether the 'dead pedal' fits on a RHD?

Also what are your thoughts, black or silver with red extensions my interior is black and red?

Reason for the upgrade, to help with heal and toeing as everything is adjustable and standard pedals IMO are all over the place.

Hi Frank

I have a black/ black rubber set with red throttle extension. I didnt go with the adjustable version as I put in a 993 pedal box which seems to do the trick nicely. They look awesome and given your colour scheme I would go with something similar...

RE. your specifics - they're brilliant on the phone so worth a quick call. I was interested in the pedal boards etc but they didnt have a design which fits RHD...yet.

Best investment you can make for your 964. Bought my adjustable set in the spring. Super happy with them. Colour? What ever works for you.

As for working with RHD, just email them Frank. Sure they have a solution. They're really helpful.

Hi Frank,

Although I can't comment on the fit of these for Rhd cars I can say that they are fantastically well made. I recently visited my folks in the States and the Rennline factory is about 45 mins from their place. I called in and was made to feel very welcome. They gave me a tour of their facility and even let me watch them fabricating some of the parts.

All the components are very well finished and look robust. Without doubt if I needed some parts such as these pedals I would be giving them a call. The guy that showed me around was called Tom, he was the one who did the conversion of a targa to coupe which was featured in Total 911 a little while back. I'm sure a call to them would sort you out.

Cheers

Thomas

I have the standard black. I wish I would have purchased the adjustable pedal. I roll my foot vs. kicking the heal. Non adjustable do not work.

I was decent at it, but find the 964 impossibly difficult - small feet are probably the culprit.

Nice price. But doesn't look as adjustable or bring the pedals that much closer...

Default my set up

I bought the 3 piece set up. I hadn't installed brake and clutch yet when I took this pic. Perfect setup! Now it works perfect for lateral / lateral -- heel toe what ever / however you do it.
Buy them

I bought an adjustable hargett pedal - fantastic quality but was made for the 3.2 911's and needed a little modding to make it right - but works amazingly well once fitted. My car had rennline pedal over-lays when I got it - they were old, the rubber was coming off, etc, so i replaced the clutch and brake with oem rubber (much better) and then replaced the cheep plastic pedal which is way too far away from the brake with a proper alluminum pedal cut well and positioned correctly to drive...and wow what a difference - so - rennline adjustable or hargett is the way to go - though i am sure there are others out there...

These sound good, I learnt to heel and toe in a Cooper S and found it really easy in my Boxster, when I had it. I find it almost impossible in the 964...

What's the difference between the 993 and 964 pedal box that makes it a worthwhile mod?

993 pedal box moves the clutch across closer to the brake pedal

So like the majority of cars you can then rest your foot to the left of the clutch, which you cannot do with a 964, where the foot rest is actually between the clutch and brake pedals

IIRC this is only applicable to RHD cars

To add...i think its only early 964s that differ.
