Default Which Colour Roof?

Hey Everyone,

Need some help deciding on a new roof for my 964 C4 cab.

Currently have blue 2 piece, few rips and pretty shoddy.

Looking at replacing with 993 1 piece.

The car is midnight blue with cream leather and maroon red carpets and door tops.

When I first purchased the car I thought it had been a retro fit interior and wasn't that keen.

Following some research with past owners etc.. I found out that the car was originally supplied in Red, White (off cream) and Blue as a special UK (Union Jack)edition. I believe it was one of a handful of cars that were introduced to the UK to promote the new C4.

(Not sure how true this is)

However, with this in mind I was considering matching the roof to the carpets and door tops.

Please see pics....and let me know what you think......?

TIA
Steve

What a great story! Can we see a pic of the interior?

The first picture makes it look sleek and on the other hand the red makes it stick out while also bringing it back to original. I personally would go with the red, you never see that color combination and would be one of a kind. You have a tough decision to make. Are you leaning one way ?

I was leaning towards the red, I've seen a few Audis with that combo and always thought that they looked pretty good.

I'll take some pics of the car at the weekend when its been washed.

Here are some of the interior.

The seats and door cards were re-trimmed a few years back (previous owner), not quite to Porsche spec, however colours are the same as you can see the original leather on the rear of the seat at the bottom.

It is part of my master plan to get the interior totally re-trimmed in the same colours with a blue Alacantara dash with red white and blue stitching. Here's to dreaming!!

I have to say that's one pretty car. I think I would go with the red after seeing the interior shots

Guess I'm biased but I think the roof ALWAYS matches the paint and NEVER the interior. And while I do appreciate that there is always room for individuality, (after all what a dull world it would be if we all chose the same thing) I really don't like the 993 style roof on the 964.

If it was me i'd look into the whole "Union Jack Special Edition" thing and if it is genuine i'd get a roof to match the original spec

You may have one special car there and it would be a shame to change the unique colour scheme.

Try Design 911 or failing that I think Porsche Shop sell the alu inserts for the gear levers.
