Just got the mag, front page feature on the 964 with the above title. The tag line is : how the once unloved 964 is now the 911 to own!!!! Ive not even read it yet but I am so excited I wanted to post straight away! Hope this is not a duplicate post...

Wink

All this said the 964's been rubbished for so long its either a case of its been overlooked as they say or the Mags now want something new to write as they've never said a good word about them!

I think rising prices are a good indication that this is not just for the sake of a magazine story..
I have a Carrera 4 and was disappointed they listed it as one of the ones to avoid along with convertibles and tips. A bit unfair I think as a good change of geo to RS spe is all it took to eliminate the understeer. While instead the shortcomings of the other two cannot really be addressed so easily. Also no mention of Targas...

Overall not the best article, seems to be more background than roadtest. A more thorough description of how the car drives would have been good.

They were Veloces reps. However have now changed to Cup2s. Car is much better to drive now.

its a personal thing but i prefer Total 911 to all of the Porsche mags. Its the only one i subscribe to and seems to cover more older models and modified cars as well.

I used to buy 911 & PW but it was too heavy a read. No real personality in the features etc.

I went back to reading Performance VW!

I may get a copy of Total 911 and see what it like
