Smile New member and C4 owner saying hello!

I've been making my way through the pages of posts for the past week or so after collecting my new baby - what a FANTASTIC website this is!
A friend of mine bought a 3.2 a few months back and after seeing his, i knew I had to have one for myself!
So, a little hunting and research now finds me the VERY HAPPY owner of this '90 C4. She's had a fair amount of work already done to her already - keeping her up to standard - still plenty for me to do though!
I quickly realised, after driving her the 150miles home that there was something not quite right with the footwell heating! Anyway, a rather brief search on here led me to the heater hoses - which i sourced and replaced the first weekend i had her! Its lovely and cool now!
Anyway, I'm fairly new to all this DIY stuff but guess Im a quick learner and willing to give the more simple things a go!

Thanks so much whoever thought about making this site - it certainly does help when i know there are so many knowledgable people to ask advice from! - taking of which....! no, ill wait till next time!

Here's a few photos of the old girl! Oh, and thanks for reading this!https://rennlist.com/forums/images/icons/icon7.gif

James.

Congratulations. Looks like you found a great example. What are you plans for the car? Will you keep it as is or do you have any planned mods?

I probably wouldn't have bought my car if this site didn't exist. Really.
With the help of the members on this forum I've built up enough courage to tackle many small projects that naturally come up on a 20 year old car.

Welcome to the forum. Love the wheels on your car!

Welcome! I'm a new owner like you and have found this forum to be extreemly useful. I replaced the same heater hose and have also just replaced both mixing servors using help from this forum. Isn't it great to be in full climatic control...

And that's the sort of welcome that you won't find in many places!
Thanks guys.
As far as I can see - and read in her history file, most things are standard save the wheels and perhaps mirrors - reckon I like her as she is on the outside! Inside, well, as I said, I fixed the heater pipes quite easily, bit fiddley as every other post says it is, but quite straight forward.
There is a cheap stereo and not so great speakers installed by someone who didn't really take much care, so I'm going to get to work sorting that out - quite like the PORSCHE CLASSIC NAV - maybe it'll be her Christmas present?!? I did notice a rubbish FM reception though, can't get anything - removed the clock this afternoon and found the wire coming out of the side of the booster cut in half :-( so there's the problem perhaps!
Oh, and she needs some attention to her oil cooler that has repeatedly been reported as 'sweating' for the past year or so during services!
Looking forward to the challenges that owning her will bring!
