Weird occurence/Hammer fault code today
As I left work for home, The car had no power (felt like 50HP tops), would not rev past 3000rpm. Stopping and starting the engine did not change a thing. Oil pressure and temperature were fine.
After 12 minutes and 4 miles, as if switched on, everthing went back to normal. I took the car back to work this afaternoon and it behaved perfectly.
I plugged the Bosch KTS 310 Hammer into the car after lunch and it gave me the following, which I can't seem to find in the workshop manual:
DME Fault
HO2S
Short to ground not present
rpm: 2280rpm
load signal:3.1 ms
counter 51
DTC: -24-
Any insight from the experts?
I wonder if the car was in limp mode due to a false sensor signal, then for some reason went back to full function?
