No worries...i love this stuff - mine and hearing everyone elses! 9M sport cams, hi flow cone intake, and modest power gains to about 310 atrws maybe, but heaps more midrange and sounds like its 620!
Wow great stuff - I look forward to hearing/ seeing it at Spa '13.
One thing I found odd on mine was the bolt holes on the main feet that sit on the sills were completely off. I had to re-drill the holes and could have done with chopping the bottom inch or so off the plates.
From my experience, that'll be as a result of the electric sunroof motor/gearbox not allowing the cage to fit as its makers intended (especially if it was an RS specific cage, which in LWT spec didn't have a sunroof . . .)
The cages are designed to follow the roofline closely.
Remove the gearbox/motor and they fit the holes in the car perfectly
QUOTE=mf_rsr;9780613]Does it have to be Heigo? They are a PITA to order. I chose a design from A P Car Design instead which is brilliant...plus its a totally welded unit which bolts to the chassis...[/QUOTE]
Just watched the video of your trial fit, looked frustrating
Did you have to modify it or was it just a positioning thing?
Also, is there any reinforcement where the rear legs bolt to the inner arch?
Yeah...the trial fit was an national embarrassment...german efficiency over impatient english. Once i figured out how to get it in, the fit was so good you have to mallet it into position...then bolt. Scary, but fun!
