From my experience, that'll be as a result of the electric sunroof motor/gearbox not allowing the cage to fit as its makers intended (especially if it was an RS specific cage, which in LWT spec didn't have a sunroof . . .)

The cages are designed to follow the roofline closely.

Remove the gearbox/motor and they fit the holes in the car perfectly

In your original build list you mentioned SCHROTH 996 GT3 6 pt seat belts

This particular cage doesn't have a bar to fit the Schroth harnesses to . . . .

QUOTE=mf_rsr;9780613]Does it have to be Heigo? They are a PITA to order. I chose a design from A P Car Design instead which is brilliant...plus its a totally welded unit which bolts to the chassis...[/QUOTE]

Just watched the video of your trial fit, looked frustrating

Did you have to modify it or was it just a positioning thing?

Also, is there any reinforcement where the rear legs bolt to the inner arch?

Yeah...the trial fit was an national embarrassment...german efficiency over impatient english. Once i figured out how to get it in, the fit was so good you have to mallet it into position...then bolt. Scary, but fun!
