I s the RS America engine lid the same as a 911 Carrera or is the upper grille size the same as a 964? Wanting to add an RS tail to a stock 964 deck lid.

The RSA tail is basically the same as a 84-89 Carrera except it never came with rear wiper option so it doesn't have the hole there. Also the louvers on the RSA are body color vs. the Carrera which was black.
I believe you cannot mount the tail directly on a C2/C4 pop-up decklid, you need a Carrera decklid for that, at least that's what I did on my 964.

different size, GT-racing has the adaptor for the 964 if you go with RSA deck lid. excellent quality, no affiliation just a happy customer.

With the RSA tail you need to have the correct decklid to go with it as the factory motorized decklid's opening is not suited for the factory wing.

I was able to get both sometime ago from a RSA owner. I kept the motorized set up if I ever want to switch back to the stock set up......

The brackets I had made by the installer....

This is one of the best mod's that I did.........

I recall reading up some old threads a while ago that there is some fiberglass replica wing created by Marc Shaw that drops right into place where the stock mechnical spoiler sits, or did I misinterpret?
