Default Power cutting out to windows and headlights?

Recently though intermittently I will lose power to my windows. Cycling the ignition off then on again restores function. Starting this week the headlights began doing the same thing. Power to the dash and parking lights works but not headlights unless I cycle the ignition. I am not sure where to begin looking for a cause or even how the two systems are connected. Any ideas are welcomed. Thanks in advance.

I don't have a schematic with me but I would first confirm that your alternator is puting out the correct voltage. It should be 13.5 volts with the engine running.

By "lose power to my windows", do you mean they slow down, or don't work at all? If the latter, I'd look into the ignition switch as a possible cause.

Check your ground at battery...it may be this simple although it seems that you would have trouble starting the car if the ground were weak or intermittent..it does pay to check the simple stuff first!
