Well, all attempts to pull/press/remove the fan blade were thwarted. Ended up getting destroyed in the process. Motors we can source - fan blades... that's a LOT tougher. About the only thing we didn't try was heating the shaft to try and get the plastic of the fan to expand. Will try that while I destroy Fan #2. This sucks.
The difference is that the motors in my app are all rusted/grunged/beat-up where the motor-shaft and fan-blades meet. It's possible someone has been into the ones in my car and f'ed it up before I am trying it.

This doesn't quite answer your question, but Jeff Curtis ended up using a left sided blower motor on the right side because it was cheaper, by modifying the plastic tabs for the stator/rotor contacts -

I assume that means they both rotate in the same direction, or perhaps that they can rotate in either direction depending on the direction of the current (?).
Also, could you post the Bosch part number on the left blower motor if you get a chance?

Heriksson - take a look at this thread and see if it helps. GeorgeK still actively posts in this forum.

Thanks RallyDog for the informative post. Great DIY.
I pulled my fans and oiled the bearings over several days, thanks for the help with that Steen, and my test drive was squeak less!
This is a fairly easy DIY - the next time (hoping there will be no next time) it will be super speedy.
I'm about to do a road trip across hot Nevada and needed to silence that fan or I'd go batty!

Anyone know a good source for the Bosch motor? Referring to this, mentioned earlier in the thread and on Tore's site: Bosch# 0 130 063 023. Been searching the web tonight and found a source in the UK and in Germany, neither let you put a US address in on their online order page. I need to swap out my blower motors before winter comes!

You can use the motor from a Mercedes 190/201 blower for the right-side blower motor as discussed in my post above. The Mercedes part number is 2018204542, search for it on Google.
There's no satisfactory replacement for the left blower motor, unfortunately. Others have posted here previously about renewing the bearings on your existing motors, and it might be worth chasing that option up.

Thanks, will look into that. I think I read in another thread here that reversing the polarity of the wiring on the right side motor would run the motor in reverse and work for the left side.

As it turns out, there's a seller on German eBay who has a number of these motors available (new Bosch, ride side blower only).
They state to post internationally, and accept PayPal.
The item number is 171068391625 -

Oh, and using the right-side motor to fit the left side does require modifying the stator housings (I.e chopping them down with a hacksaw!), from what I understand.
