I sprayed one side with the wheels off, and one side with the wheels on the car. Save yourself the time and spray it with the wheels on the car...

No affiliation... (just an interesting way to paint car parts)

(with wheels on the car)

(power wash test)

(peeling it off)

I might add a layer of gold metalizer to the satin black?

It can be sprayed from a rattle can as shown or from a paint spray gun as I did which may be a bit cheaper.
These are the people to speak to;http://www.plastidip.com/

They do a clear coat as well which will give it a slightly glossy look. For me I wouldn't spray them on the car, to easy to miss some areas, even if it is only short term.Loads of clips on Youtube which help alot. It does chip easy but has stood up to a jetwash a few times. It's good stuff but don't think of it as permanent and you won't be upset with the finish.

After a month, my Plastidip matte black rims still looks great.

I know black wheels aren't to everyone's taste, but I'm now a huge fan of the look...
I've driven the car a lot this past month and normally in that time I would have end up getting a bucket out and washing the rims at least a couple times. Since the wheels have been painted, I've only hosed them down, otherwise I haven't touched them at all.
