Default M030 Sway Bar? / Track Use

964 M030 (RSA) is 22mm front and 20mm rear.

I currently have a 1990 and my rear sway bar is 21mm.

Is anyone running the 22mm M030 front and 21mm rear on their 964?

As a reference, the 993 guys like the (993) 22mm M030 front and the (993)Turbo 21mm rear. I have driven a 993 on the track with this set-up and it was very balanced. Just curious if anyone has tried this set-up on a 964?

This is for street/track use combined with Bilstein Sports and H&R springs.

Thanks!

Sorry for not posting earlier, but I had forgotten that I've had experience with the 22mm/21mm front/rear combo on a similar suspension setup as yours (mine were H&R coilovers). I was experiencing understeer on the track - mild in higher speed corners, but relatively severe in the slower corners.

I moved to a 19mm 3-way adjustable rear (set at the shortest/stiffest setting), and the handling improved significantly with respect to understeer/oversteer - it generally became neutral, with mild understeer in the slowest corners.

Here is my write-up of the changes, and some discussion of sway bars:

Anyway, it appears that sway-bar length (in the form of adjustability) is every bit as important as thickness.

Please let us know what your experiences are if you make any changes. Good luck!
