Default Instrument Dash Removal or.......

Instrument Trim Removal... or replace the term "Instrument" with "Gauge" or "Trim" with "Cluster".

I have searched all the above combinations but with no success .... so can someone help me out with this.

I want to remove the instrument panel that hosts the clock and gauges - part number 964 552 549 00 - mine is option 8YR on a speedster if it is of any consequence.

Name: Dash.jpg
Views: 5915
Size: 210.5 KB

It seems like in order to do this the top Dash will need to be removed and the Panel in question should come out - anyone seen any instructions specifically for the Panel that sits behind the steering wheel between the upper and lower dash and houses the instruments?

Any help appreciated as always.

You were right with 'trim'.
That will just be some black vinyl, I assume. The actual instrument housing is part of the body-in-white. The only way to remove that would be with an angle grinder. :-)

I see - I wanted to recover that piece so it looks like then I remove the top dash and part underneath and then it is haberdashery time - so to speak

Thanks.
