Hey bros,
I have a Steve Wong chip for cars with cat bypass. Since then I have added a primary bypass to the mix. Is it a big enough change to warrant sending the chip back for one made for cat + cup bypass?

Man I think I found the answer on the description for my current chip:
89-94 911 Carrera 2/4 w/premuffler or cat bypass
$375
Engines modified with a cat bypass/premuffler, with or without a primary or secondary muffler bypass. For manual or Tiptronic transmissions, with or without lightweight flywheel. Includes the LWF fix if one is installed.
Duuh, sorry for wasting the threadspace guys

How do you like your Steve Wong chip? Did you have the car before it had this chip? Would you recommend getting one?
I have a Steve Wong chip in my 993 that I purchased to correct a stalling issue. I really like how it changes the car. I've considered one for the 964.

I have a Steve Wong 91 octane, w/o cat and with secondary bypass. I could tell imediately after installing it that it improved my hunting idle as well as low rpm driveablity. The car feels like it pulls harder to redline than before. I can't really compare it to a stock chip because I bought the car with an Autothority chip already installed. I didn't know it was there until I pulled it to install the Steve Wong chip. The guy I bought the car from was an older gentleman that really didn't know much about the car other than it was a 1991 964 and that it was red.

makes the car idle correctly.
watch out for the myth about adaptation via a 'battery disconnect with a spirited drive'. waste of time. you must get a bosch hammer adaptation (or similar electronic tool - sounds like the scan tool thing works correctly).

What about "let the car idle for 5-10 minutes after a spirited drive at normal operating temps"? Is that an adaptation myth as well?

no.
it is all a load of crap.
I spent 1 year trying all the myths ... time which I'll never get back ... finally i did a 5 minute bosch adaptation and the car was amazing at start & idle!
get the bosch hammer (or equivalent aftermarket tool).
