Wink scratches on rims

Has anyone ever had to deal with deep scratches on rims? Im almost finished with my rebuild and looking at other things that are gonna need addressing. One is my front driver rim has some deep curb rash. was wondering if anyone had ever done anything with a problem like this. Thanks in advance for any comments.

Its hard to DIY as well as a pro. With so many people doing this, its not expensive.

I once looked at buying new rims from a guy. While I had them leaning up against mine for looks, one fell over and got alll messed up. $150 later it looked like new. I suspect you can probably get a better price/wheel if you are doing more than one. I used a place in Ohio called Motomotion.com

Im waiting now for a call back from a company that does a mobile repair here in eastern nc. The convo started with the appointment setter with me asking the general price, when she dug out of me the type of car, I was told that new rims were around 1k each, according to her. When I mentioned I could get a used rim for about 200, I think it killed her pitch as she then told me between 65 and 100 generally. Funny thing is if it were a subaru, im sure it wouldnt take anymore work than what its gonna take being a Pcar. Will let you guys know the final price when I get it all sorted though. Thanks for the inputs also.

Dan
