Well I had no heat BEFORE the blower motor went south, so I'm assuming the bypass won't give the heat and I have more than one problem to deal with.
The heat shuts down if the rear blower is inoperative. The "wire to coil" mod fools the CCU into thinking that the blower is still connected and healthy (even though it has been removed and bypassed) and you'll probably find that will restore the heat.
