I'd say a few weeks to be fair. Once the exterior is back together the interior needs to be done (foot plates, re-skinned door trim etc) and then it needs a good service including a starter motor refurb, new fluids and valve adjustment then they're going to change the set up (back to RS sway bars etc) and do the geo so we have a base to start from at the track day at Hampton Downs on the 19th of May. Hope you can make it?!

Still tossing up strut options. Might re-valve the existing ones but I've been reminded to be patient and that Targa isn't until October so we have plenty of track days and events to play around with that stuff. I guess I'm starting to get reigned in now! lol

Will be just over 5 months start to finish but worth it!

Default Doors and hood on, then off for carpet

Really coming together now. All the fitment is done and it's off to get some custom carpet put in. The carpet is not off any template but stretch to fit black marine carpet more like the hot rod guys do. Will send some pics when it comes back.

The Audi red really looks good in the daylight, not a hint of orange!

It was a tough call to go with black for the wheel centers over gold but I thought it would look tougher in black rather than a cruiser and IMHO it has worked. Some tire shine and they'll look good.

Only two weeks to go!

I think the black wheels were a good choice. I like the way you've just got 3 colours on the car: red, black and clear -- makes it look clean and purposeful.

I'm keeping the 19th clear in my diary, haven't heard any more from Steve about it though.

Haha, well spotted. It's the old rule of thumb, no more than 3 colors including chrome/ silver.

Cool, looking forward to it!!

Sorry I have been slack and not finished off this thread. The car is done and the Work rims have arrived from Japan! I've been travelling around South America for the past few months taking a break. Hope that's a good enough excuse? I don't have a laptop with me so can't post the photos from my iPad but when I finally get reunited with the car at the end of the month I'll post a load of photos and answer any outstanding questions to get this squared away.
