No, standard C2/4 narrow body

Widebody cars ran the same offset wheel at the front and a 9in 55 offset at the rear (or 9.5 68 offset)

8 in 52 offset rear also recommended as a winter wheel for turbo bodied rear

If the original factory fitted 16" cups were front 6j and the rears 7j. Then when fitting 17" cups would you not want to fit rears with an equal increment/stagger, there by fitting 9j when the fronts are 7j ?

Makes sense, but according to PET

RS ran 7.5 & 9.0

Widest standard rear from the factory on a narrow bodied C2/4 was 8.0 (with 7.0 front)

Agreed.

Just looked in Enthusiasts companion by Adrian Streather and the 17" 9j wheels with offset 55 appear to be approved for the 964. So presumably these are ok to fit? (spacers not required)

The 17'' cup 2's I have are the same width and offset.

Some just some monkey trying to make a fast few ££, not knowing if they are real or not

That RSA page says a common mod for the RSA was to put the 8 inch wheels up front and run the 9 inch wheels in the rear.

Can any narrow body 964 that already runs cup 7 and 8 inch wheels do this with no spacer? and if so, what tire sizes would you use? I imagine you would be more that a 225 width up front then...
