Thanks for the suggestions fellas. I was very temped with green, but went safe with gungray/anthracite.

Sneaky peak, they still need a rub down and one last coat before they get a clear pu over the top.

Got chrome wheel nuts to go with it.

not quit as dark as i hoped, if i was to do it again i might try a brown/red primer to get a bit more bronzy undertone. more in the direction on the rays volks bronze but less gold.

Its just out of a spray can so if i decide i hate it i can re spray matt black or whatever.

Looks awesome. Any close up pictures? Chrome nuts! Where did you buy them?

I see them on Type 911 but they're soooo expensive - I bought mine 2nd hand ebay!

@Frank I got the wheel nuts from demon tweeks for £25 for 20 (unusual in that demon tweeks didn't **** up and were cheap!)

BUT they are cone taper rather than radius seat, real porsche and some aftermarket wheels for porsches (including the rep cup 1s) seem to take the porsche standard radius seat wheel nut, but most other aftermarket wheels take a cone taper wheel nut.

@freedman I know exactly what you mean, think that's why the cups and ruf wheels look nice, I still can't quite envision what they'll look like on the car but my gut is telling me they'll look OK.

I had these on my first vauxhall nova many years ago now lol.
They do suit the 964 though. I feel a dark grey would be best. Similar to Maserati 4200 grand sports.

Oh Alex, your lovely unmolested car.....now on the slipper slope with the mods.....make sure you keep all the original bits that you will undoubtedly change.....

....Love the choice of colour.....almost went for that myself but allowed myself to be talked out of it and went for gloss black on my Cups.....
