Super, Frank. Successfully evokes the adrenaline and fun of it all I'm sure.

The first time I did Spa and the 'Ring, it was Spa that had the greater impact on me. Such anevocative place. By comparison, the 'Ring was just a place for nutters to show off. Nowhere has the atmosphere of Spa. The vid clips recreate that very nicely.

Well done Frank.

Seeing Mrs Araf in front of the garage (when Boxsey reversed in) reminded me of Baywatch - but without the sea, sun, sand, or good looking women in bikinis.

Factory 996 C4 wheels, usually pretty inexpensive

As you can see below

Very true in my mind also. Andrew and I showed up at the ring... we both had our cars pulled over - failed sound regulations, over 100db static...

We both left with the same feeling, it's all very flashy, tachy, posing - the atmosphere was just not our kind of thing. Left having no desire to go back... maybe on a private day the atmosphere would be different but otherwise no real interest in driving it.

Seems like fait - had we gone on we probably would have had a ricer smash into us, couldn't be happier to be rejected from a track!

Having said that Alex got on, he enjoyed it - but also has no desire to go back.

Next year we'll be doing two days at Spa and forget the ring altogether.

PS. Read your latest Total 911 article - always enjoy them! They really are do everything cars!
